CasePilot is a free financial crime investigation game published by ClearPath Advisory, a compliance training and consultancy practice.
For the purposes of the GDPR, Joshua Matesun (trading as ClearPath Advisory) is the data controller for the limited personal data described in this notice.

Almost nothing — and in the mobile app, nothing at all.
The app contains no analytics, no tracking and no data collection of any kind. It does not phone home. Everything — your progress, your grades, your streak, your purchase — lives on your device and stays there.
Apple and Google will tell us how many people installed the app, and will send us anonymous crash reports if it breaks. That is aggregated, it does not identify you, and it is governed by their policies, not ours.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is deliberately chosen because it is privacy-first:
Because it sets no cookies and identifies nobody, no consent is required under the ePrivacy rules, and there is nothing about you for us to hold.
Progress is saved in your browser's local storage, or in the app's own on-device storage. It is not sent to any server, and we have no way of reading it. If you clear your browser data or uninstall the app, that progress is gone — we cannot restore it, because we never had it.
Stating this plainly, because it is unusual enough to be worth saying:
We set no cookies. Not on the website, and not in the app.
Our analytics provider is cookieless by design. This is why you will not see a cookie banner on CasePilot — there is nothing to consent to.
The website and app do use local storage to save your game progress. That is not a cookie, it is never transmitted anywhere, and it is essential to the game working as intended. It stays on your device, and you can clear it at any time.
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes. In practical terms, we hold nothing about you to share.
Our analytics provider may process aggregate, non-personal data outside the EEA. Because that data identifies nobody, it carries no transfer risk to you.
If you buy CasePilot Pro, Apple or Google handles the payment under their own international arrangements.
Aggregate website analytics are retained by Cloudflare for a limited period and contain no personal data at any point.
Your game progress is kept on your device until you delete it. We hold no copy of it, so there is nothing for us to retain or erase.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, and port personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time.
In practice, we hold almost nothing about you: no account, no name, no email. The analytics data we do receive is not linked to your identity. If you want to stop analytics collection entirely, clear cookies for this site or use a browser that blocks them.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you may complain to the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) — uodo.gov.pl — or to the supervisory authority in your own country of residence.
CasePilot is built for compliance professionals, career changers and students of the subject. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
CasePilot links out to third-party sites, including course pages on Udemy, a tip page on Buy Me a Coffee, and a LinkedIn profile. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, and their privacy policy applies — not this one.
The apps run the same game, and go further: they collect nothing whatsoever.
Our App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected", and that is a plain statement of fact.
The game is free. There is one optional in-app purchase — CasePilot Pro, a one-off payment that adds the Expert Dossiers.
We never see your payment details. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple or Google through their own systems. We do not receive, process or store your card number, your name, or your billing address. We are told only that a purchase was made, so the app can enable the content.
Your purchase is recorded on your own device, and can be restored through your Apple or Google account if you reinstall or change device. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies govern the payment itself.
There is no subscription. It is a single payment, and we do not hold a recurring relationship with you.
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in the game itself.
